The League of Communists of Yugoslavia, known until 1952 as the Communist Party of Yugoslavia, was the founding and ruling party of SFR Yugoslavia.

The Party of Labour of Albania, also referred to as the Albanian Workers' Party, was the ruling and sole legal party of Albania during the communist period. It was founded on 8 November 1941 as the Communist Party of Albania but changed its name in 1948 following a recommendation by Joseph Stalin.
