A Common Theory And Misconception Of Socialist States, Is That They Seemingly Always Fail In Some Political Order Eventually, This Theory Has Been Debunked Numerous Times But Might Aswell Open The Discussion And Try And Give Its Vague Feature.
You May Have Recently Seen Or Have Been In A Debate With An Anti - Communist, If You Have, One Of The Most Common Arguments To End Your Dialouge And Shut You Up From Continuing The Debate,"Socialism Always Fails!" Usually, They Would Often Tell This You And Attempt To Provide A Detailed Description Of Why Socialist Economic Modes Would Eventually Fail, This Is Incorrect.
(Soviet Reason For Dissolution.):
The USSR Was Illegally And Un-Democratically Dissolved Against The Actual Will Of The Soviet People By A Coup That Was Backed By The United States, And This Was The Right Configuration, Due To Gorbachev's Efforts Of Re-Capitalizing The Country, Privatizing Health Care, And Selling Economic Modes Off For Literal Pennies, The United States In This Configuration Allowed A Independent "Democratic" Russia To Form Its Independence.
Before The Illegal Dissolution Of The USSR, A Referendum Was Held Democratically Where The People Had The Independence And Democratic Measures To Vote Whether That The USSR Should Be De-Constructed And Allow Independent Soviet Republics, Or For The USSR To Remain, Over 76.4% Of The Population Decided That The Soviet Union Should Remain As An Independent Nation, Sadly, In This Configuration The Economic Collapse Would Begin To Give In Due To Gorbachev's "Reforms", And In This Configuration.
The Soviet Union Was Illegally And Undemocratically Dissolved By The Coup By Yeltsin's Small Percentage That Was Supported By The US To Un-Democratically Dissolve The USSR.

I think the dissolution of the Soviet Union came faster and faster because of the reforms, first under Kruschev, that opened up and paved the way for the eventual capitalism in Russia today.

I agree that the dissolution of the Soviet Union was attributable to the illegal coup staged by the revisionists and capitalist. How do we know this "referendum" was even faithful?

The Soviet Union was already at the point of dissolution, proto capitalistic society at this point there was no delaying the inevitable. This crack began in the 1950s

This Sort Of Democratic Process Was Voted By The Soviet People To Pursue And Progress This Specific Society, Its A Factor Of The Illegal Dissolution Of The Soviet Union.
I Understand It Might Not Seem Much, But It Was Held All The Way From Belarus To Siberia.
